Advancing access and quality of essential surgeries in Africa

Flametree Fundraising is proud to work with the extraordinary team of surgical specialists at the Global Surgery Division, to improve the quality of surgical care in Africa through undertaking research, strengthening surgical systems and services, and supporting leadership and advocacy. The Division has a special emphasis on underserved populations and populations in crisis, and on improving equity and social justice in healthcare systems.

 

Over the past 5-years, we have worked with the Division to support strategy development processes, assist with drawing impact communication materials, and to identify and approach potential donors.  We have developed a suite of strategic communication materials to resource the Division’s fundraising efforts. Documents such as a research strategy are excellent fundraising tools, encouraging donors to consider catalytic investments in long-term programmes of work, towards clear impact objectives. The process of developing a strategy also brings key stakeholders together to build a united vision, and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration. 

 

Additionally, we support capacity building in public health through the Executive Leaders Masters Course in Global Surgery.
